The different Human Design Types are set looking at the defined centers in a chart.
If no center is defined, the person is a Reflector.
If the Sacral is defined, the person is a Generator or a Manifesting Generator. To be a Manifesting Generator, the Throat must be connected to a motor center directly or indirectly.
When the Sacral is not defined, if the Throat is connected to a motor center, the person is a Manifestor otherwise it is a Projector.
Each of the 5 Human Design Types is subject to a Strategy. Below is a summary of the Strategy of each of the 5 Types, more information about your Type is provided in the complete Human Design report.
Generators must respond to life events and they must not choose their own path with their mind. However, it is necessary for them before they embark on a new relationship or activity proposed by life, to get a positive response from their Sacral and to do so in full Emotional Clarity if their Solar Plexus is defined. If they don’t respect their Strategy, Generators will be frustrated by the inevitable failure they are heading for. And as they never backtrack, the time and energy lost will increase their frustration and their exhaustion
Unlike Generators, Manifesting Generators can decide their own path if they have received a positive response from their Sacral and made this decision in full Emotional Clarity when their Solar Plexus is defined. As they also have a time-out during which they can change their mind, Manifesting Generators have a double opportunity to respect their Strategy. But once arrived at their moment of truth, if they continue a new relationship or activity, without the endorsement of their Sacral and potential Emotional Clarity, they will feel the same frustration and exhaustion as the Generators.
Projectors should wait to be recognized for their skills or to be asked to do things before embarking on a new relationship or activity. They must of course only begin if they have the agreement of their Authority. If they decide to do things without being recognized or invited or without following their Authority, they will feel bitterness not to be thanked for what they have decided to do. If their Authority invites them to act, they must absolutely ask to their entourage, personal or professional, if their help is necessary or if the action they plan to do is useful, and stay put if the answer is negative.
Manifestors have the energy and needs to do things on their own. They don’t like to be disturbed in their activities. It is therefore necessary for them to inform others about their reasons for starting the activity suggested by their Authority. If they forget to do so, they will feel angry when someone else will come to disturb them or ask them about what they are doing. Likewise, if they start an activity without the agreement of their Authority, they will feel anger when their activity will fail.
Reflectors have a special Authority not based on a defined center. They need to wait for a full lunar cycle before deciding any major action. The Outer Process asks them to take advice in their entourage, to inform themselves in books or on the Internet, to weigh the advantages and disadvantages. If they decide too quickly or if they are badly advised by a malicious entourage, Reflectors will feel the disappointment of not being accepted, not being visible to others.
